ÖVP results in the 2017 Austrian General Election #nrw17 (final results, 19 Oct)
-
The map shows the final ÖVP election results in the 2017 Austrian general elections at the scale of 2,100 municipalities (plus 23 districts of Vienna) including postal votes. The ÖVP won the election with 31.5% of the overall votes and was particular successful in smaller and rural municipalities, but also in some of the larger cities (e.g. Salzburg).
The map represents the actual size of each municipality's electorate rather than the size of its territory. Therefore, the territories have been re-sized according to the spatial distribution of 6,401,304 eligible voters across Austria. The postal votes have been estimated and redistributed at the level of municipalities based on the results from the respective election districts.
